Meet Betlhem, a courageous 10-year-old whose resilience shines brightly despite the hardships she faces daily. Betlhem’s story is one of love, loss, and determination. After losing her father, she and her family have endured immense challenges. Her mother, a street vendor, works tirelessly to provide for her daughters, yet struggles to make ends meet. To make matters worse, Betlhem’s sister suffers from a chronic illness, and her mother battles high blood pressure, adding a heavy emotional and financial burden to their already difficult lives.

ACN After-School Program

Last year, Betlhem ranked last in her class. Many might have dismissed her as another statistic in the cycle of poverty, but at ACN, we saw the light in her—a spark of potential waiting to be nurtured. Betlhem's "can-do" spirit, her curiosity, and her hope for a better future inspired us to act.

Through ACN’s after-school program, Betlhem has received personalized academic tutoring, mentorship, and much-needed guidance. With the provision of school supplies and a safe environment to learn, grow, and dream, Betlhem’s world began to change. Her grades improved dramatically, and her confidence soared as she discovered her talents and abilities. Today, Betlhem is not just a student; she’s a symbol of what’s possible when we come together to invest in the lives of vulnerable children.
